TTC with Unexplained Infertility
Here I was, married to the love of my life. We decided to wait to have kids until I finished college, bought our home and of course got married. We had it all!
It was time to start trying. A month turned into two, then six then a year. I made an appointment with my OBGYN. I did tests, my husband did tests. Then the follow up.
I nervously sat in the sticky plastic chair as the fertility doctor came in. The words google pulled up many times were said out loud….as in I was hearing her in slow motion “unexplained infertility” was spoken.

Mental Storm
I found myself swept up in a whirlwind of emotions. Now, I’m contemplating between pursuing natural interventions or seeking medical assistance to conceive.
Natural
I went to the social platforms (and google of course). Natural ways to increase the chances of conception include tracking ovulation, maintaining a healthy weight, eating a balanced diet rich in fertility-boosting nutrients, reducing stress, avoiding tobacco and excessive alcohol, and engaging in regular exercise. Some people also explore alternative therapies like acupuncture or herbal supplements, although it’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional before trying any new methods.
Medical
Medical interventions seemed to take away the fun and excitement. They included fertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), fertility medications to stimulate ovulation, surgical procedures to address issues like blocked fallopian tubes …. I was overwhelmed.

Finding the Needle
Talk about finding the needle in the haystack! I stumbled upon a woman discussing the Ovarium Conception cup. After some research, I discovered it’s made in the USA (check), FDA-approved lubrication to aid sperm motility (check), and it’s affordable, under $200 and available over the counter. I figured, why not give it a try?
The Pretty Little Box
It exceeded my expectations; the Ovarium Conception cup arrived in a beautifully crafted suede felt box. Inside were two cups of different sizes, accompanied by a heartfelt love note. The attention to detail and quality were even more impressive in person than what the pictures portrayed.

Que Sexy Music, the Ovarium Ovulation Strip was positive!
The instructions were clear, insert the Ovarium Cup while laying down after intercourse to keep swimmers close to the cervix. Note* I highly recommend playing with the two sizes, I ended up choosing the large one because it was more comfortable.
I put in it, made sure it was snug and went pee. We all know that after sex, you should pee to avoid UTIs. This cup was great! No sperm leaked out. No need to keep my legs up. I continued on with my day.
Now for the Two Week Wait….
If you’re trying to conceive you know that every ache and pain could be your period, or pregnancy. Boob twinges. Cramps. Light spotting.
